The Transient Self - Undergraduate Senior Thesis 2012
The body of work “The Transient Self” explores the relationship between the body and mind, and the various ways in which introspection benefits personal development. In a time of such technological abundance it is pertinent that individuals reserve time for self-reflection, which has the ability to alter the actions we project into both the digital, and literal world. A digital pinhole camera employed to increase the level of visual distortion in an attempt to convey the healthy, momentary disconnect that self-analytic meditation allows us. The body is used as a critical mediator between the external and internal worlds each individual experiences, stripping of all possible societal modifications, and revealing a canvas of tangible flesh that remains.
